40 Years Of Experience Beating Insurance Companies

Combined, our attorney's Clayton and Huntley have over 40 years of experience specializing on traffic accident cases in the State of Oregon. Every year they successfully resolve cases against every major automobile insurance company in the State of Oregon, including State Farm, Farmers, Allstate, American Family, Liberty, Geiko and Progressive. Between them, they have over 500 trial and arbitration awards in their client's favor and in the last 10 years alone, they have recovered over 25 million dollars in settlements and verdicts for their clients. Their success in court enables us to settle most of our cases without a lawsuit.
About the Lawyers at The Law Office of Clayton H Morrison LLC

Clay is a leading trial lawyer in the field of injury claims. He was the lead trial attorney in over 250 jury and arbitration trials. Oregon lawyers regularly associate Clayton to help them with their personal injury claims and he has taught lawyer education courses on topics from uninsured motorist claims to winning claims against drunk drivers.

Clay graduated from Arizona State University law school in 1973 and received an International Law Degree from a Belgium university where he graduated Cum Laude. He began his legal career with a large Los Angeles, California law firm before deciding he wanted to represent “people” not “corporations.” He is a member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, the Washington Trial Lawyers Association and has specialized in injury claims since 1981. Clayton is also admitted to practice law in the State of Washington and Federal court.

Clay takes great pleasure from representing “David” in the David v. Goliath cases. He has successfully prosecuted multiple cases against Allstate, Farmers, State Farm, Geico, Progressive and other lesser known insurance companies. He is passionately devoted to advancing and perfecting case strategies, trial techniques and communication approaches on behalf of injured victims.

Beyond his experience as a leading litigator, he is a skilled appellate attorney with many precedent-setting cases before the Oregon Court of Appeals and the Oregon Supreme Courts. He is regularly asked by the courts and other attorneys to mediate or arbitrate their disputes.

Clayton also has been active in his community, including coaching his grandson's little league baseball teams and contributing generously to charitable groups that protect our civil justice system and promote education for disadvantaged children.

Huntley Morrison (Clay Jr.) is a local Portland product. He is a Grant High School alumni, received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Lewis & Clark College and his law degree in 1998 from Willamette College of Law.

In 1998 Huntley became a member of the Oregon State Bar and that same year he filed Grady v. Cedarside Inn., et.al., a case that he eventually won before the Oregon Supreme Court. Grady v. Cedarside Inn, et al., (featured in The Wall Street Journal) is a leading case holding sellers of alcohol responsible for their negligence and protecting Oregon citizens from drunk drivers. It is a case that continues to protect all of us from drunk drivers.

Huntley is a successful negotiator and has taken hundreds of personal injury cases to trial and arbitration. He received one of the highest pain and suffering awards ever issued by a Yamhill County jury. His experience in personal injury cases has led to teaching other Oregon attorneys how to settle and litigate personal injury claims.

Huntley is also admitted to practice law in the State of Washington and Federal Court. He is a member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association and the Washington Trial Lawyers Association. He was appointed by the Oregon State Bar's Board of Governors as a member of a committee responsible for investigating unethical conduct of lawyers in Washington and Yamhill Counties. He was also a member of Oregon's Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee responsible for protecting consumers from the harms caused by non-lawyers practicing law in Oregon.

Recently, Huntley passed the Bar Exam for the Confederate Tribes of Warm Springs Tribal Court which allows him to represent people injured on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation. He has successfully prosecuted injury claims against Indian Head Casino and is qualified to represent people for any type of injury which occurs in Indian Country.

Outside of law, Huntley coaches his son's baseball teams and contributes generously to charitable groups that protect the environment and promote education for disadvantaged children.
